Model Pendidikan Islam dalam Keluarga Perspektif Hasan Langgulung: Rekonstruksi Konseptual dalam Karakter Anak

The family, as the primary educational environment, plays a fundamental role in shaping children's character, particularly within the perspective of Islamic education, which emphasizes the integration of moral, spiritual, and intellectual values. However, the dynamics of modern society, such as globalization and technological advancement, pose new challenges to the effectiveness of family-based education. This study aims to analyze the model of Islamic education within the family based on Hasan Langgulung’s perspective and to reconstruct the concept to ensure its relevance in contemporary character development. The research employs a qualitative approach with a library research design, examining Hasan Langgulung’s works and related scholarly literature using content analysis and an interpretative approach. The findings reveal that the family education model according to Hasan Langgulung emphasizes the integration of three main dimensions: faith (aqidah), morals (akhlaq), and intellectual development, implemented holistically through role modeling, habituation, and effective communication within the family. Furthermore, the reconstruction of the family education model needs to accommodate technological developments by strengthening parents’ digital literacy and adopting dialogical and participatory educational approaches. The implications of this study highlight the importance of reinforcing the family’s role as the foundation of character education that is adaptive to social change, while also contributing theoretically and practically to the development of family-based Islamic education models relevant to modern societal needs.
